like hearing yourself on an answering machine

Okay, so when I did the Cleveland bookstore reading way-back-when with Rachel Levitsky and Michael Dumanis, a  Cleveland poet named John Burroughs videoed me reading, and has posted it on youtube. So I give it to you here, since I am not doing any readings for a while and am not sure how much longer I will read from O Fallen Angel. I will say, though, this is a bad reading, especially the first Maggie section I read, it's stiff and I look terribly tired. This is during the time I was having all those digestive problems and wasn't eating and went around a bit sickly and my hair was falling out from stress. It's funny to think of that now because I think those same problems are back, I am back in Bronte mode, after battling a week of stomach flu.

But, anyway, know that I usually read this with more humor and lightness and less slowly, solemnly. But here it is.

Part One

Part Two

Again, my last Maggie section in Part Two is much much better than the first Maggie section in Part One. Also know there were about 6 people at the reading, so that is probably another reading my energy was down, plus I was hung over from potato vodka from the Pittsburgh reading the night before.

This morning I took an online autism diagnostic quiz and scored very high, 34, high-functioning autistic. I hate online diagnostic quizzes, they are always labeling me with something. Tweaks today, especially since yes I am feeling lately more AUTISTIC than ARTISTIC.

So I pass this onto you. I give you the dis-ease.
